Dr Colin Shaw gives public talk on evolutionary mismatch at UZH's Science Pavilion

Colin gave a public talk at UZH's Science Pavilion and Science Lab on 22 April 2026, titled "Humans in the 21st century: an evolutionary mismatch?"

Colin’s talk introduced the Environmental Mismatch Hypothesis and shared results from several years of the group's experimental work. He then took the audience outside into UZH's Nature Park, which surrounds the university, for a 15-minute Shinrin-yoku-style session so they could experience the research hands-on.

A lovely way to bring the science to life, and a great example of public engagement done well. Well done, Colin!
